Another baby quilt.....maybe this one will be the one that stays at Grandma's house?

I received this photo from my amazing friend Martha and just have to share it with everyone.  This quilt is all needle turn applique and as close to perfect workmanship ever seen.  I particularly like that it has "Canadian" animals moose, porcupine, beaver and raccoon in it.

Henrietta Whiskers BOM Block 2

Here's the second block in the free Bunny Hill BOM.  I have a feeling that I should be making 2 of these, one for myself and one for my friends that love squirrels and birds and quilts of course.

Here are some of the "jars" in which I have collected various specimens in this baby quilt.  This is one of my absolutely favourite children's quilt.  It's also a good eye spy type of quilt.  Everything from teddy bears to crayfish to fairies and bugs.

                                                          

I have also finished a very cheerful little baby sweater (how could I possibly resist those colours) and several baby burpees (burp cloths) for 2 pregnant friends.  The burp cloths were from a free pattern at connectingthreads.com .

Attended our local Seedy Saturday Seed Sale yesterday....and so gardening season begins!  The seeds I purchased were 4 kinds of lettuce including one that I couldn't resist because of the name "Drunken Woman" (I'm going to have to research to see how that name came about), 4 varieties of tomatoes including both red and yellow "Radiator Shop Mortgage Buster" (apparently the gardener that hybridized these paid off the mortgage on his shop selling seeds, plants and tomatoes of this variety), peas, green beans, green onions, green and gold zuchinni, and shallots.  Hopefully I do better with the shallots this year.

Also my first snowdrops are up and blooming even though the weather forecast calls for at least one more good snow storm before winter is truly over.
